State Government Scholarships
Post Matric Scholarship:The Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) is a financial assistance program designed to support students from underprivileged backgrounds, typically belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and minority communities. The benefit includes reimbursement of tuition fees 5000/- and maintenance allowance for accommodation, food, and other expenses.
Merit Scholarship: Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to meritorious students taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institution at Degree/ Diploma institutions. The scholarship amount is Rs 600/- per month. The eligibility criteria is minimum marks in qualifying examination is 60%.
Merit cum means Scholarship: Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to students taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institution at Degree/ Diploma institutions. The scholarship amount is Rs 600/- per month. The eligibility criteria is minimum marks in qualifying examination is 45% with a family income not exceeding ₹2.5 lakh per annum.
The number of merit and merit cum means scholarship is sanctioned as per ordinance which is available in website of department of Technical Education of Chhatisgarh Government.
BPL Scholarship: Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to students of general category in belonging to below poverty line (BPL) category.
AICTE Scholarships
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers several scholarship schemes to support students pursuing technical education in India. For the academic year 2024-25, the following scholarships are available:
Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students: This scheme aims to encourage and support girls pursuing technical education. Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to meritorious girls taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institution at Degree/ Diploma. Total 10000 scholarship are given @ Rs 50000 as incidentals each year. Eligibility criteria include being admitted to the first year of a technical degree or diploma course in an AICTE-approved institution, with a family income not exceeding ₹8 lakh per annum.
Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students: Designed to support differently-abled students with a disability of not less than 40%. Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to Differently abled students taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institution at Degree/ Diploma. Scholarship given @ Rs 50000 as incidentals each year. Applicants must be admitted to the first year of a technical degree or diploma course in an AICTE-approved institution, with a family income not exceeding ₹8 lakh per annum.
Swanath Scholarship Scheme: This scheme provides financial support to orphans, children who lost either or both parents due to COVID-19, and wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action. Eligible students must be enrolled in AICTE-approved degree or diploma courses, with a family income not exceeding ₹8 lakh per annum.
AICTE Yashasvi (Young Achievers’ Scholarship and Holistic Academic Skills Venture Initiative) Scheme 2024: This scholarship is for meritorious students seeking admission in core branches of engineering at the diploma and undergraduate levels. It aims to motivate students to pursue technical education in core engineering branches such as Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic, and Mechanical Engineering in AICTE-approved institutions.
